Technical Alignment Engineer / Network Administrator

In this role you will be interacting with business owners, executives and decision makers to manage and maintain the technical relationship with your assigned clients.  You will be performing a structured, consistent review of your assigned clients’ business technology in order to measure the health and wellbeing of their business networks.  You will have a direct and dramatic impact on influencing your assigned clients’ technological health and overall technical strategy.

Successful candidates are able to integrate with our clients’ businesses and serve as a valuable, integral technical resource.  Your position is the key to both identifying areas for technical improvement as well as implementing standards and best practices that address deficiencies.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Conducting routine technical reviews and checklists for assigned clients.
  • Developing and maintaining a deep knowledge of clients’ business technology.
  • Maintaining accurate and current documentation of all facets of client networks.
  • Implementing best practices and standards to remedy technical needs.
  • New client onboarding.
  • Other duties as assigned.

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

  • Advanced to intermediate level knowledge of the Microsoft business stack, network infrastructure, and related technologies.
    • Windows desktop operating systems
    • Windows server operating systems
    • Microsoft Office Suites & Office 365
    • Microsoft Exchange & Outlook
    • Active Directory
    • Networking: switching, routing, security, infrastructure and configuration
    • Desktop and server hardware
    • Virtualization include VMWare and Hyper-V
    • Mobile devise including iOS and Android
    • Bonus points for Sonicwall, Datto, Dropbox, ConnectWise, Cisco, Mac, Linux, Unix, SAN/NAS, and SQL.
  • Ability to review and audit technical information, infrastructure and configurations.

Service Desk Engineer

Do you have a strong background in IT systems administration in a managed services environment?

Can you multitask and manage clients with varying expectations and deliverables?

Can you translate tech-speak into the client’s level of knowledge?

Do you have a strong background in Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems?
How about Office 365? Active directory? Windows operating systems? Networking?

We are seeking a candidate with relevant, recent experience who is good to go right out of the box.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be a key member of the service desk team, working with customers, vendors, peers and superiors to ensure the continued success of SisAdmin services.  SisAdmin engineers are personable, dedicated, flexible, reliable and proactive and are subject matter experts in Microsoft Windows technologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide service desk support for client networks via phone, email and/or remote connection, covering all systems from desktops to servers to network equipment.

  • Work with clients to respond to, document, and resolve inbound incidents and service requests
  • Ensure that client’s system needs are met, and escalated when necessary
  • Work to maintain client systems and documentation
  • Develop and maintain Microsoft enterprise technologies knowledge and experience
  • Documentation of activities and timekeeping

ABILITIES:

  • Translate tech-speak to the client’s level of knowledge
  • Set priorities and expectations to manage several clients’ needs successfully
  • Work independently, or in a team, depending on the needs of the task or client
  • Support a range of needs, from individual user desktop questions to server and network issues

  • Microsoft Server Operating Systems: 2008 to most current version
  • Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems: Windows 7 to most current version
  • Microsoft Office 2003 to most current version
  • Microsoft Exchange 2007 to most current version
